Hair By Rachel

Every item on Rachel’s menu has its own Book button, each main service has a page, and AI assistants get a plain guide to the studio.

A new client needs
a little guidance.

A new color client needs to know what to book first, what it may cost, and that Rachel approves each request before it is confirmed.

Search engines and AI assistants can only recommend what they can read: the services, the studio, and how to book.

The right service.
Then the calendar.

The site makes room for two kinds of visitor: someone ready to book, and someone who only knows their hair goal. The consultation and first-visit pages give the second visitor a place to start.

Square stays the booking system. Each service, its starting price and the first-visit context come before the calendar.

  • A page for each main service: balayage, color correction, blonde, extensions and curly hair, each leading to booking.
  • A booking page that explains the Square handoff, the card hold and Rachel’s approval before the calendar opens.
  • Business details written for machines too: structured data in every page and a plain-text guide for AI assistants at /llms.txt.

  • Readable by Google and AI assistants

Each page carries structured data, the labels search engines and AI assistants read to learn what the business is and how to reach it. The homepage has HairSalon, an OfferCatalog of services and a ReserveAction for booking. It parsed without errors when we checked it on October 27, 2026.

  • Fast and usable on a phone

Google Lighthouse checks how quickly a page loads on a phone and whether everyone can use it. Our mobile run of the homepage on October 27, 2026, out of 100:

    Speed
    91
    Accessibility
    100
    Best practices
    100
    Search basics
    100

A one-day lab test of page quality, not a sales result. Scores move a few points between runs. Run it yourself on PageSpeed Insights.

  • Lower running cost

We reworked how the site reads its booking data. Database compute fell 89%, from 23.3 to 2.5 GB-hours a day. That is our own hosting measurement, not a client sales figure.
